How to Donate Crew Tokens in CSR2 (and How to Get More)

Z Money ·

Crew tokens are one of the few CSR2 resources that do nothing for you personally and everything for your crew, which is probably why the donation step trips people up the first time they look for it. Here is where it actually lives in the menus, what it buys once you find it, and what tends to go wrong along the way.

What crew tokens actually are

Crew tokens are a season-specific resource you earn from trials and races while a season is live, separate from cash, gold, or Elite Tokens. They cannot be spent on anything in your own garage. Their only use is funding your crew's Wildcards, temporary crew-wide RP boosts that every active member benefits from during a live race window.

How to donate crew tokens in CSR2

The path is: open your Crew menu from the main garage screen, go into the Crew Hangout or Crew Info area, and look for the Wildcard tab inside it. From there you will see the three Wildcard tiers with a plus button next to each; tapping it commits tokens from your personal balance into that Wildcard's shared pool. You do not send tokens to a specific player. Every donation goes into the crew's shared pool for whichever Wildcard tier you choose, and any crew member with enough tokens can contribute to any tier.

The exact tab labels have shifted slightly across CSR2 updates, and the developer does not publish a menu map for this feature, so if your version's wording does not match exactly, look for "Wildcard" specifically rather than a literal "Donate" button; that is the feature this refers to. (UNVERIFIED: exact current on-screen labels, since we could not confirm this against an official help-center walkthrough for the live 2026 build.)

What your donated tokens actually buy

Each Wildcard tier trades a token cost for a temporary RP multiplier, and the tiers scale in both directions: a bigger boost costs more tokens, and each tier gets more expensive within a season the more times your crew activates it. A first activation of the smallest tier is relatively cheap; pushing for the biggest boost repeatedly in the same season adds up fast, which is why crews coordinate timing rather than activating on impulse. The specific token costs and RP percentages have varied by version and are not something the developer documents officially, so treat any exact numbers you see elsewhere as a snapshot of one point in time rather than a fixed rule, and check your crew's live Wildcard screen for that season's numbers.

Milestone rewards: the bigger reason crews care about this

Wildcards are not the only place crew-wide effort pays off. CSR2 also runs Crew Milestone Achievements each season, tied to your crew's total Crew RP rather than to tokens directly. Clearing enough RP as a crew unlocks Milestone rewards up to a purple-star Milestone Car, shared across every contributing member. Donating tokens toward an active Wildcard indirectly helps here too, since the RP boost from a live Wildcard makes every race during its window count for more toward that same Milestone total. A well-timed Wildcard right before a coordinated crew push is how active crews close out a Milestone in the final days of a season instead of falling short.

Common problems players run into

  • The Wildcard tab looks empty or the plus button does nothing. Confirm you actually have crew tokens in your personal balance first; a zero balance renders the same as a broken button to a lot of players.
  • You are not in a crew at all. Crew tokens and Wildcards only exist inside a crew. If you are playing solo, there is nothing to donate to yet, join or start a crew first.
  • Tokens seem to disappear without a visible boost. Wildcards run on a timer once activated, and the RP boost only applies to races run inside that active window, not retroactively to races before the donation.
  • The season rolled over and your tokens reset. Crew tokens are tied to the current season. Sitting on a stockpile instead of spending it before a season ends means losing whatever was left unspent.

FAQ

How do I donate crew tokens in CSR2?

Open your Crew menu, go into the Crew Hangout or Crew Info screen, find the Wildcard tab, and tap the plus button next to the tier you want to fund. Tokens come out of your personal balance and go into the crew's shared pool for that tier.

What do crew tokens actually do?

They fund Wildcards, temporary crew-wide RP boosts active for a set window after they are triggered. They have no use outside your crew and cannot be spent on your own garage or cars.

Why can't I donate crew tokens?

Usually one of two reasons: you have a zero token balance to donate from, or you are not currently in a crew, since the Wildcard system only exists inside crews. Check your personal token count on the Crew screen first.
