What is The Circuit in CSR2?

Why is The Circuit Japan back?

Zynga's current support notice says the Japan season was brought back following the response to the original run and specifically to give players who missed it another chance. There are two scenarios:

The practical progression loop is:

1. Play CSR2 normally and collect every available Card Pack. Check event rewards, Race Pass, daily rewards and any Circuit-specific reward opportunities visible on your account.
2. Open the packs and fill the Japan posters. New cards advance the collection; duplicates do not fill missing slots.
3. Keep progressing before spending pack currency aggressively. Early packs have a much better chance of giving you something new simply because most of your collection is empty.
4. Use your remaining pack currency strategically near the end. Community reports show several players completing a season without purchasing packs after using their accumulated pack currency on higher-value packs. Results are still RNG-driven, so there is no guaranteed sequence.
5. Finish the full reward requirement and claim the RAESR Tachyon Speed.

The last few missing cards are where The Circuit becomes considerably tougher. Community reports repeatedly describe progress slowing sharply around 110 to 119 cards because duplicate pulls become much more likely.

Can you complete The Circuit Japan for free?

Potentially, yes, but it isn't guaranteed.

Players have reported completing previous Circuit collections without buying Card Packs, while others ended seasons at 118/120 or 119/120 despite opening a substantial number of free packs. That is exactly what you would expect from a duplicate-based collection mechanic: your first cards come quickly, while the probability of obtaining one of the few cards you still need gets progressively worse.

The Circuit Card Pack problems you should know about

The Circuit has had two recent Card Pack issues.

RAESR also specifies a pre-preg carbon-fiber body, carbon-ceramic brakes, active rear aero and adjustable ride height. The manufacturer says the six-motor powertrain is capable of more than 240 mph and a sub-10-second quarter mile.

That makes the Tachyon Speed unusually appropriate for CSR2: the real project was essentially designed around outrageous straight-line electric performance.
